How does Edge handle an internet or power outage?
Unavailable Call Forwarding and disaster routing automatically send incoming calls to mobile phones or alternate locations if your office internet or power drops. In addition, our Peplink SD-WAN failover connects fiber, cable, multi-carrier 5G, and Starlink to maintain internet connectivity during an ISP outage.
What AI is built into Edge?
AI voice agents answer, route, and handle routine calls around the clock using your custom knowledge base and prompt instructions. You choose the underlying AI model (such as GPT-4.1 or Grok 3), and AI-generated greetings and call transcription come standard.
How does Phoneware support the service?

Is Phoneware Edge something I install?
No. Edge is a cloud platform your phones and apps connect to over the internet. We ship desk phones pre-configured, so you plug in and start dialing, and it works on desk phones, the mobile app, the web, desktop, and Microsoft Teams.
Do I have to move everything to Edge at once?
No. Start with what you need and add services over time. If you run an on-prem PBX, SIP trunking connects your current equipment first, and you migrate to hosted Edge when you're ready.
Who supports Phoneware Edge?
We do, directly. Support is included for the life of your service at no extra charge, and when you call you reach a technician who knows your account by name.
